Speaking of records I wanted to share a roadside find with you and ask for your opinion. I found an old sewing table on the side of the road a few years ago that I could just not pass up. This sewing table has followed me from apartment, to rental house, to first home. It has had many uses over the years, but has recently become the perfect resting place for the record player my husband bought me a couple of years ago for my birthday. It's the perfect height and width with space below for records. I have always kept it the way I found it. The top is a little rough looking, but is mostly covered by the record player. Now that we have moved to the new house I have been thinking of giving it a new paint job. My husband disagrees, but I think it needs some sprucing up of some kind. This is where you come in. I was hoping I could throw this project out there and see if you can help me come up with some ideas of what I could do to it.
Here is a picture of my roadside find:
So what do you think?
I like the cabinet. Do you think there is a lot of value in it. Do you plan to re sell it? If the answer is no then give it a new look. I am thinking distressed white.
